Help Leonard Peltier get MEDICAL CARE & FREEDOM!

The Leonard Peltier Ad Hoc Committee is raising funds for medical and release efforts

Leonard will be 80 years old in September 2024. He is suffering with severe medical issues, which are not being treated by the prison. He is losing his eyesight (blindness that can be prevented) and has a host of painful and serious healthcare problems. Our elder, Leonard Peltier, needs to be transferred to a medical facility that can and will give him medical care.

Most of all, Leonard needs to go home to be with his family and community outside of prison, after 48 long years.

Our Committee is raising funds for expenses related to retaining independent medical experts, accommodations, travel, materials, and other expenditures related to Leonard's medical care and release efforts. This is all critical to get him proper medical care and release from prison.

Leonard Peltier's parole hearing is scheduled for June 10, 2024

While we greatly appreciate everyone’s support, we have a couple of requests:

Please do not go to Coleman. Having a group of people converge on the prison could cause them to postpone the hearing.

Please do not call the prison or the parole commission. Too many phone calls can disrupt the process.

Instead, we respectfully suggest gathering peacefully at federal buildings or sacred sites to hold pre-parole vigils, prayer vigils, candlelight vigils or any other form of lawful support for Leonard. Please: no violence. This will reflect badly on Leonard and could result in your arrest.

On the morning of the parole hearing – June 10th – Leonard’s Spiritual Advisor, Lenny Foster, will lead a worldwide day of prayer with a sunrise ceremony. Details to come.

In addition, we are still encouraging everyone to contact their state representatives or the Committee of the Judiciary about the lockdowns and denial of medical care. They may tell you, “That is not my district.” However, the United States is their district; Congress is charged with providing oversight to the BOP.

Coleman 1 continues to enforce indefinite lockdowns. Leonard is routinely locked down for up to a week or more, which is hard on him physically and mentally. The BOP is torturing our people to death under the cover of lockdown.

Furthermore, Coleman 1 has denied critical medical care that Leonard needs.
