A Tribute to Imam Jamil Al-Amin

7/27/2015
A’uudh billaachi minash shaitaanir Rajeem, which means I Seek Refuge of Allah From Satan the Accursed. But in my heart and mind, I think: I seek Refuge of the Creator, from this Insane Satanic System we’re forced to live in. Amin.
It’s truly an honor to be within the midst of Supports of Imam Jamil Al-Amin a/k/a  H. Rap Brown. As we grow and learn we have a tendency, no I won’t say we, I’ll speak for myself. I’ve had a tendency to look outside myself, to see if what I’m thinking, feeling or understanding, resonates with anybody else, so I continuously search.  That’s how I’ve accumulated what I call, Mentors from a distance. In which Imam Jamil Al-Amin, ,a/k/a H. Rap Brown  is a prominent one. As I was reading the Washington Post one day in 1964 or 65. They had a story about this up and coming so called Black Leader, and I say so-called, because he is not just a Black Leader, he is a Leader For Humanity no matter who you are. That’s if you believe in Humanity For All. The Post labeled him The Black Militant From Hell, why, because H. Rap Brown, put President Lyndon Johnson,  in his place when , one week , After Bloody Sunday on the Edmund Pettus Bridge, named after a former Confederate Brigadier General, Democratic Party U.S. Senator, and the Grand Dragon of the Alabama Ku Klux Klan. Because of the atrocities committed that day,  by the Ku Klux Klan and J Edgar Hover’s  COINTELPRO , were being broadcast around the world. And don’t get it twisted, the Ku Klux Klan and the FBI worked hand in hand. Johnson relenting to international pressure, called a meeting with Civil Rights Leaders. Johnson came into the meeting complaining about how is daughter couldn’t sleep the night before because of demonstrations near the white house. The leaders there, took turns apologizing to Johnson for his daughters inconvenience, when Imam Al-Amin’s turn came up he said, ( I too was real sad,  that for one night  your daughters repose had been distributed. But Black people in the South have not been able to sleep in peace and security for a hundred years, what do you plan, to do about that.  Sura 42, verse 41 “ All those who fight when oppressed incur no guilt, but Allah shall surely perish the oppressor. If your looking for conformation, read Brother Imam Al- Amin's books.
We have such beautiful ceremonial rhetoric, which is good, but what about the substance. It hurts  the heart, or should, whenever one of our warrior brothers or sisters, has to beg for money just to survive. Especially after, given their lives for the well being of Humanity.  . Much Love Much Respect,,,,,,, Razakhan  Shaheed
